for education excellence, we proudly introduce this innovative learning
combination of lean process philosophy and Six Sigma quality tools presented
in a blended-learning format of live classroom instruction with best in
class computer based training (CBT) courses. The classroom portion is
taught by Lockheed Martin certified Black Belt trainers.
Green Belt Course Description
The Lockheed Martin/Rutgers University Green Belt course follows the DMAIC model and teaches the required skills needed to lead projects effectively. The course consists of 4.5 days of classroom instruction combined with approximately 20-30 hours of self-paced online computer-based training (CBT) courses. The CBT courses enhance and extend the learnings from the group activities and face-to-face content of the Classroom sessions.
Who Should Attend Green Belt Training
This course applies to anyone in the organization who will be part of a Lean Six Sigma process improvement project staff, line supervisors, managers and directors in such areas as manufacturing, operations, customer service, engineering, logistics, sales, quality and purchasing. The course assumes a familiarity with computers and basic analytical skills.

Course Topics
Participants will learn how to apply the crucial observational, analytic and interpersonal skills of a successful Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. These skills are developed in the environment of a simulated Kaizen event created for the classroom. The following areas are practiced during this event:

learning.
Blended Learning Participants
will have access to the Rutgers online Library
of CBT courses. Program includes 5 Six Sigma related required courses;
after completion of these required courses and the Green Belt classroom
training, you will have, 12 months' access to the entire 1400+ course
library.
Joint Certificates of Completion Participants
will be awarded receive a "Trained Green
Belt" Certificate from Lockheed Martin upon completion of
the classroom portion. Rutgers University will award A a Certificate
of Completion will be awarded from Rutgers University upon successful
completion of the online learning course requirements. (This course
is valued at 3 elective college credits for students enrolled/to be
enrolled in the Rutgers MBA Program at the School of Business in Camden,
NJ.)

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Training Course Dates for 2008 All courses are held at the Lockheed Martin facility in Moorestown,
NJ. Directions will be provided with confirmations. Classroom portion
runs 5 days Monday through Thursday 8 AM to 5PM, and Friday from 8 AM
to 12 Noon.. Lunch is provided all 5 days. CBT portion can be taken
when most convenient for attendees; you may find it is most beneficial,
if possible, to take the online courses first.

Participants are expected to attend all days, and to come on time.
Please wear comfortable clothing—casual to business casual.
