Program Overview

The Rutgers-Lockheed Martin Black Belt course is an interactive, two week learning session, paired with comprehensive online coursework. This program utilizes Lean and Six Sigma tools and the Kaizen process to enhance the learning of key processes and real world application. The 8 Step Process and OBAB exercises are used as a capstone to demonstrate the elimination of waste and reduction of variation using all statistical methods taught, MSA, DOE, FMEA and setting up of an OBAB production line.

Pre-Requisites:
The course assumes solid analytical skills and proficiency with spreadsheets.
Participants must have first completed the Rutgers-Lockheed Green Belt training.
Participants should have a current Black Belt level project within their organization either started or in mind.
Participants are required to bring a laptop computer and calculator for use with the statistical software provided in class.

Who Should Attend:
The Black Belt program is designed for those who will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and analysis of Lean & Six Sigma projects. Black Belt training is designed to build upon and expand acquired Green Belt skills.

Program Duration:
Two non-consecutive weeks (4.5 days each week) Monday through Thursday; 8 AM to 5 PM and Friday 8 AM to noon, with lunch provided every day.

Dates:

Week #2 - June 7, 2010

Fees:
$5,495; includes instruction, all materials, online course access, textbook, software, and lunch each day.

Credits Awarded:
